2543 days ago, the Lord asked me a question that changed my life:
What would you think about not starting another day without first spending time in My Word?

Other than receiving Christ into my life, making the choice to answer that question and engage daily with God’s Word nearly seven years ago has been the greatest decision I’ve ever made in my life – so great I can’t keep it to myself!

David understood this when he said, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

More than anything else, the Bible is God’s own declaration of who He says He really is to us — and of who He says we really are to Him. Every page reveals His heart, His character, His promises, and His purpose.

And at the same time, it reveals the truth about your identity, your worth, and your great destiny in His eyes.

There is nothing more important in your life than what you believe about God and what you believe God believes about you.

That’s why the apostle Paul said in Romans 12:2 “Let God transform you by changing the way you think…”

The greatest transformation in your life happens when you allow the word of God to change the way you think about God and the way you think about yourself.

In the Bible you will discover a God who sees something greater IN you than you see in yourself and a God who sees something greater FOR you than you see for yourself !

That’s why spending time in God’s Word is not just a good idea — it’s vital.

David had a love affair with God’s Word — that’s why Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. It’s the record of a man who discovered that God’s Word is greater than food — it is food for the soul.

📖 Bread

  “Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”

  “But Jesus told him, ‘No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

📖 Honey / Sweetness

• Psalm 19:9-10 (NLT)
  “Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.”

You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 🔑 The Greatest Battle Over Your Life

Every day you are listening to one of two voices:

• The voice of the accuser — that lying, cunning, crafty voice that will try to push you down and keep you from God’s best.
• The voice of the intercessor — your advocate, the voice of God’s Word that draws you close, builds you up, and causes you to say with David, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Faith is simply this: what you believe about God, and what you believe God believes about you. That is the greatest battle over your life — and that is why the greatest investment you can make is spending time in the Word of God daily and establishing the voice of God as the greatest voice in your life.
