There are two kinds of leaders.

Weak insecure leaders rule by fear, intimidation, and confusion. They lead out of insecurity. Many of us have known coaches like this, bosses like this—parents or even spiritual leaders like this. Their words don’t build you; they shrink you.

Strong leaders are different. They lead from security. They speak to your strengths. They see what you can become—and they help you become it.

Jesus Christ is the strongest of strong leaders—the most secure of secure leaders. He never tears you down to build Himself up. He lifts you up to be who He calls you to be. That’s one reason He is called the Lord of lords!

What I Learned from Dr. Morris Cerullo

• Nathanael—even after “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Jesus greeted him, “Here is a true Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” He called out integrity, not shame.

“God is not depending on anything we possess. He’s depending on what He can make of us!”
