The Two Voices Over Your Life
The person you speak to more than anyone else is yourself!
From cover to cover, the Bible teaches us that there are two voices over your life that will dramatically influence the conversation you are having with yourself…
The voice of the Accuser who condemns…
And the much greater voice of the Intercessor who defends!
The Genesis to Revelation, Satan’s craftiest weapon is his accusing voice…Rev 12:10 calls him the “Accuser of the brethren.” In Job chapter 1 he was Job’s accuser, in Zecheriah 3:1-5 he was the accuser of Joshua the priest…
His number one assignment against your life is to cause you to believe something about God or believe something about yourself that will push you away from God. That assignment is about to be dealt a crushing blow, stay with me!
What you think is your problem is not your problem. Here’s what Satan understands: The greatest battle over your life is what you believe about God and what you believe that God believes about you.
That is why the greatest investment you can make in your life is spending time in the Word of God and establishing the voice of God as the greatest voice in your life. It is literally a matter of life and death. The voice that you are tuned into is the voice that will determine everything about your present and your future.
Today I am praying that you will discover that the voice that pushes you away from God is never the voice of God!
Romans 8:34 declares, “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who dies, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us!” Right now, as you take the next few minutes to read these encouraging words, know this: Jesus is praying for you!
And the Accuser is the LOSER!
There were many benefits that came to mankind as a result of the price Jesus paid on the cross over 2,000 years ago. There may not be any greater benefit on this side of heaven than the silencing of Satan’s crafty voice that will always rise up to accuse you and accuse God and His word.
Today we are going to dive into three powerful chapters in the Bible — Isaiah 53, 54, and 55. These chapters give us:
- Isaiah 53 – The price Jesus paid to access the benefits of Isaiah 54…
- Isaiah 54 – Satan’s greatest weapon formed against you…and your promised 100% victory over it…
- Isaiah 55 – The greatest weapon God has given you to walk in the victory Jesus secured for you in Isaiah 53 over the greatest weapon formed against you in Isaiah 54…
Together, they reveal how Jesus silenced every voice of accusation over your life.
Isaiah 53: The Price Jesus Paid To Access The Benefits Of Isaiah 54
“He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.”
– Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
Jesus bore your griefs and carried your sorrows. He was pierced, crushed, and punished—so you could be made whole. We will also discover in Isaiah 54 that one of our benefits of Christ’s suffering is how it paid the price to silence the enemy’s accusations.
Isaiah 54: Silencing The Greatest Weapon Formed Against You
“No weapon turned against you will succeed.
YOU WILL SILENCE EVERY VOICE RAISED UP TO ACCUSE YOU.
These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord;
Their vindication will come from me.
I, the Lord, have spoken!”
– Isaiah 54:17 (NLT)
There are many weapons formed against you and I that the cross of Jesus Christ gave us authority to silence, but Isaiah 54:17 declares there is none greater enemy than the voice raised up to accuse you. Because of what Jesus did in Isaiah 53, Isaiah 54 declares that every accusation of the devil has been silenced over your life! Isaiah 54 declares that you have been vindicated of all accusation by the Lord! Vindication is defined as the action of clearing someone of blame or suspicion!
You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory.
14 Accusation Strategies the Enemy Uses—Silenced at the Cross
At the cross, Jesus not only paid for your sin—He disarmed the accuser and exposed his strategies. Here are 14 of the most common lies the enemy uses against believers that were defeated at Calvary:
- Impersonating the Voice of God
AW Tozer said that Satan’s greatest weapon is man’s ignorance of God’s word. Just as he did when he tempted Jesus in Matthew 4:6, Satan will twist scripture in God’s name to create confusion. But God’s true voice always brings encouragement, peace and clarity – and can be confirmed through a knowledge of His character and the whole counsel of scripture. - Thinking Little of Yourself
He’ll say you’re not good enough. But God says you are His masterpiece. You can never rise higher than you see yourself and God sees something greater in you than you see in yourself! You were made in the image of God! With heartbreak in his voice, the prophet Samuel spoke these piercing words to King Saul as the Lord was stripping him of his calling: “ALTHOUGH YOU MAY THINK LITTLE OF YOURSELF, are you not the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord has anointed you king of Israel.” (1 Samuel 15:17) - Dwelling on Past Failures
The devil replays your worst moments. But God has already forgiven and forgotten them. God doesn’t want to have a conversation with you about your past. God would much rather have a conversation with you about your future! The Apostle Paul said, “This ONE THING I DO, FORGETTING THOSE THINGS THAT ARE BEHIND!'” Phil 3:13 - Highlighting Weaknesses
He’ll focus on what you can’t do. But God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness, and you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength! It’s better to do something for God with a little lack and a little weakness than to do nothing at all! And as you do, He will make you strong IN THE BATTLE! Hebrews 11:33–34 (NLT) declares: “By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,
quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.” - Using Circumstances to Accuse You or God
He uses hardship to say God has abandoned you. But we know that God works all things for your good. - Telling You That You Missed God’s Plan
The accuser says it’s too late. But God redeems time and restores destiny. Even in Jonah’s disobedience the Bible declares “the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time!” He’s the God of the second and third chance – and He’s the God whose gifts and calling on your life are unchangeable! - Claiming You’re Not Worthy of God’s Blessing
Like Jabez it is time to move past your pain and say, “O that thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, and that your hand would be with me and that you would keep me from evil! And God granted him (and you) that which he requested.” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) In Christ, you are a co-heir of every promise and have been made worthy by the sacrifice of Jesus! - The Comparison Trap
He’ll make you feel “less than.” But God’s call on your life is uniquely yours. Don’t compare yourself to anyone — you will either become jealous or proud… You have not been called to be an echo; God has called you to be a voice! - Condemnation After Confession
He replays what you’ve already confessed. But God says you are clean and free.1 John 3:20 declares “If your heart condemns you, we know that God is greater than our hearts…” God is not your adversary; He is your advocate! - Telling You You’re Not Doing Enough for God
He drives you into spiritual burnout. But your worth isn’t in what you do—it’s in who you are. Psalms 23 declares, “He makes me lie down in green pastures!” - God Is Punishing You
He whispers that your struggles are divine payback. But Jesus already bore the full punishment. God is not your punisher; God is your rewarder. God is not looking for ways to short circuit your destiny, God is looking for ways to fulfill your destiny! - Punishing Yourself Makes You Holier
He tells you to suffer to prove your faith. But holiness comes through grace, not self-inflicted guilt. - Lies From Others to Discredit You
He uses people’s opinions to shake your confidence. But God’s truth is the only verdict that matters. - Confusion About Your Eternal Destiny
He stirs doubt about your salvation. But if you belong to Jesus, you are sealed with eternal life. God declares in Isaiah 43:13: “From eternity to eternity, I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of My hand. No one can undo what I have done!”
Every single one of these lies was defeated at the cross.
Isaiah 55: The Weapon of God’s Word
“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life…
My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts…for just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. The rain and snow come down from the heavens…they cause the grain to grow… It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.”
– Isaiah 55:3, 8, 11 (NLT)
The Bible is declaration of who God says He really is and who God says you really are. God and his word are one! His word reveals His thoughts…
What is God thinking about? You!
“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They can not be numbered!” Psalms 139:17 NLT
His thoughts are higher than your thoughts. His ways are higher than your ways. And they are revealed in His Word.
Isaiah 55 tells you that God thinks higher of you and more about you than you do yourself, and that God sees something greater in you and something greater for you than you see yourself!
The Greatest Investment You Can Make
The greatest investment you can make in your life is to spend time in the Word of God. Why?
Because Scripture:
- Reveals who God really is
- Affirms who you really are
- Equips you to resist the voice of the accuser
Establish the voice of God as the greatest voice in your life—and every lie will lose its power.
Or in the words of Lauren Daigle’s grammy award winning song, your life is elevated by believing what God says about you:
You Say by Lauren Daigle
Verse 1
I keep fighting voices in my mind
That say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me
I will never measure up
Verse 2
Am I more than just the sum of
Every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am
Because I need to know
Chorus
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe
What You say of me, I believe
Verse 3
The only thing that matters now
Is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth
In You I find my
Final Word: Jesus Paid It All
You can declare today:
“Jesus is the Lord who paid the price to remove every accusation from my life!”
The accuser is defeated. The battle is over. The verdict is in.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” —Romans 8:31
Or as the great Dr. Morris Cerullo declared – why don’t you make this your declaration right now: “I am not what the devils say I am. I am not what my past says I am. I am not what my failures say I am. But I am who God says I am and today I am stepping into my end time destiny!”
