The Accuser Is the Loser!

The accuser is the loser! Let the voice of your Intercessor become greater in your life than the voice of your accuser. Jesus is praying for you.

Today I’m excited to share this encouragement from Pick Up the Bible and Let the Bible Pick You Up! and our time together in the podcast. Take a moment to watch this short message, then let’s go to the Word together.

Your Intercessor defends

I’ve said many times, there really are two voices over your life: the voice of the accuser, and the much greater voice of your Intercessor, Jesus.

Does Satan use the Bible to try to accuse us? Yes. Does God use the Bible to encourage us? Yes.

Listen to Romans 8:34, in the King James Version: “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

The accuser condemns. Your Intercessor defends. Right now, as we spend these minutes together, Jesus is praying for you!

The price He paid. The victory He secured.

Isaiah 53 shows us the price Jesus paid. Isaiah 54 shows us the victory He secured over the voice of accusation. And Isaiah 55 shows us how to walk in that victory by engaging with the Word of God.

Listen to Isaiah 53:5 in the King James Version: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Jesus paid the price! The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.

Then listen to Isaiah 54:17 in the New Living Translation: “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!”

You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you!

How do we answer that accusing voice? Through what Jesus did for us. Our vindication comes from the Lord. Our confidence rests on the price He paid.

Hear, and your soul shall live!

Then Isaiah 55 invites us to listen. Verse three says, in the King James Version: “Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”

This is why we engage with the Word. His Word reveals His thoughts. His Word establishes His voice in our lives. His Word answers the accusations that have tried to define us.

The greatest battle over your life is what you believe about God—and what you believe God believes about you.

And the Bible is a declaration of who God says He really is—and who God says you really are!
